Yes, Celebrate Piano!® is probably the best method ever developed for children in the 6-9 age range. I think its publication is going to raise the bar for any new method to follow. I can only hope, anyway!
-Kevin Coan
We had three goals for the music of Celebrate Piano!®: the pieces had to appeal to teachers and students, they had to stand alone as compositions worthy of performance in their own right, and they had to be carefully designed so that students could experience self-expression through music without being frustrated by technical difficulties.
-Mark Mrozinski,
Co-author of Celebrate Piano!®
With both repertoire and musicianship activities in each lesson book, students are exposed to delightful music at every lesson while simultaneously developing a solid musical foundation.
-Dr. Reid Alexander,
Professor of Music, University of Illinois
Celebrate Piano!® is the best piano method I have used in my twenty-eight years of teaching. I am looking forward to having students complete the entire series, because I believe they will be the most musically well-rounded students I have taught.
-Carole Noel,
Piano Teacher, Louisville, Kentucky
I can say without reservation that Celebrate Piano!® is the most pedagogically sound, exciting course of piano instruction for children I've seen to date. It is a perfect blend of sound intervallic reading skills, multi-key work, ear training, harmony, composition, technique, and theory. All this is coupled with a wonderful array of interesting, motivating pieces and inviting artwork that encourage rapid learning. Celebrate Piano!® stimulates me to be a better teacher as a result.
-Kevin M. Coan,
Piano Teacher, Newington, Connecticut
I found Celebrate Piano!® to be a comprehensive, user-friendly piano method. Each unit has an excellent sequence of activities; there are fine musical and pianistic compositions and the flow of important ideas for student development is carefully worked out for maximum learning. The delightful illustrations create a fun visual environment while enhancing the learning experience.
-Monica Gaylord,
Piano Faculty, The Royal Conservatory of Music
This approach to learning will create young pianists who are completely comfortable at the keyboard because they understand the language of music. There is good reason to celebrate!
-Aasta Levene,
Chief Examiner Emeritus, RCM Examinations
The most secure foundation in technique and musicianship of any method . . . and the kids love it!
-Peter MacKinnon,
RCM Examiner and Piano Teacher, Peterborough, Ontario
Celebrate Piano!® will especially appeal to teachers who value creativity and who use MIDI disks with their teaching. The three authors have created a method that is logically sequential and steadily develops musicianship. Ric Iannone, the orchestrator, has developed accompaniments that both inspire and enhance. Congratulations to all!
-Brenda Dillon and Lynda Garcia,
Roland US
Celebrate Piano!® is a wonderful music series. The students have many ways to practice the skills or concepts: playing, writing, listening, singing, and performing. I love the way that the series uses a spiral curriculum; students learn new concepts while continuing to build upon the old ones.
-Patty Baranski,
Piano Teacher, Southington, Connecticut
Students studying from Celebrate Piano!® will be well prepared and eager to approach the classical literature of Celebration Series®, The Piano Odyssey®. Teachers should indeed celebrate this new resource which is certain to become the method of choice for students moving into The Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum.
-James F. Lawless,
Chief Examiner Emeritus, RCM Examinations
We've been successfully using the Celebrate Piano!® books at Dallas Music for two years. It's a well-paced method with good preparation and follow-through of concepts built right in. The pieces are charming with delightful CD and MIDI accompaniments. Technical development is gradual and thorough. I love the ear training and pitch recognition.
-Becky Corley,
Dallas Music
I love this approach; it is methodical and sensible. It doesn't bog the student down with all the details at the same time. I like it all!
-Mary Tokarski,
Tokarski Music Studio, North Haven, Connecticut
I really love these materials! Personally, I appreciate the layout, the progression of information and skills acquired. The children are responding favorably and more quickly than I had anticipated…I've sent many young students to recitals, but never have so many of MY students, CONSISTENTLY played so musically AND accurately.
-Rachael Short,
Professor of Piano Pedagogy, Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee
I have been one to state that during my thirty years of teaching, I have not found one series that does it all…However, I can say that today after reviewing the latest book of Celebrate Piano!®, I can no longer claim the above statement... I am a perfectionist, and the success of my business (International Music Syndicate) vouches for that particular detail…I will certainly be one organization that will tout the series and will list Celebrate Piano!® and the Celebration Series as the official materials for the IMS.
-Phil Erklen,
President, International Music Syndicate, Colorado Springs, Colorado
Oh, I knew piano lessons would be fun; but this was way more fun than I thought it would be!

The Teacher's Guide proves to be beneficial for both new and experienced teachers with its planning charts for Preparation, Presentation, and Follow-up activities. Unit by unit discussions and tips for enrichment activities makes this resource indispensable.

Chief Examiner Emeritus, RCM Examinations
The Solos albums, which contain extra performance pieces for students at each level, will also serve to be particularly useful to the student in your class who needs additional study to enhance their reading skills. CD and MIDI accompaniments are an interactive way to develop student interest and participation in music study. Listening skills will in turn be enhanced. What fun it is to perform with your own orchestra! Takes the monotony out of routine practicing.
-James F. Lawless,
Chief Examiner Emeritus, RCM Examinations
Celebrate Piano!® is built around a body of exceptional educational repertoire and offers a plethora of activities that develop skills for comprehensive musicianship. By placing both repertoire and educational activities in each Lesson and Musicianship book, students are provided the opportunity to play delightful music at every lesson while simultaneously developing a solid musical foundation. Finger Gyms are excellent technique builders, while the frequent You be the Judge sections and Practice Plans ensure that each student develops independent listening and sight-reading skills. The finely graded educational repertoire, representing a variety of composers, along with the textures and sounds of the CD and MIDI Accompaniments will inspire students to want to play. These diverse musical experiences ultimately will lead students to making a smooth transition into the study of easier standard repertoire at the of Celebration Series, Level 1.
-Dr. Reid Alexander,
Professor of Music, University of Illinois
An educational entertaining beginning piano series for the young student. Well organized with color coded units making this series very user friendly. Lesson and musicianship books include fun learning activities such as "Finger Gyms," and compositions which are appealing to beginners at the piano. What a great idea to include works by composers such as Stephen Chatman, Anne Crosby, Pierre Gallant, and Linda Niamath, as well as many others who have achieved great success in writing music for children. Student "Practice Plans" and "Transposition Exercises" accompany the units allowing the children to feel motivated to "just do it!" Reading, Theory, Technique, rhythm, ear, and creativity are all encompassed in this fun series.
